Sermons

Who do you think you are? Andrew Goodman didn’t get a summer job that year, despite being a college student. He told his parents what his plans were, and set off to another part of the country, this twenty-year old. His parents had raised him to believe certain things, and it was his belief that sent him far from home that summer, a belief in doing the right thing, in making a contribution to the greater good – a belief that the world could change, if we make it so. Andrew’s parents sent him with $500 in bail money (big bucks in 1964) and sufficient funds to cover his summer living expenses and transportation home if the going got too tough.(read more)

Music

We are embarking on a time of transition in our music ministry under the leadership of the Songs of Faith ministry group. As well as continuing CFRUC’s strength in traditional sacred music, this group will help us explore new music from a variety of sources. Working with barb janes (worship resource) and our new Interim Music Director, Annabelle Paetsch, the Songs of Faith group will be in conversation with the congregation through the coming year. Children's program

Children Engaging the Word is offered each Sunday morning for children in kindergarten and up. Children begin their Sunday morning experience in worship, including a Theme Conversation with the minister, then go to their session. (read more)

Adult learning

Crescent Fort Rouge partners with and houses The Prairie Jubilee Program for Spiritual Formation and Spiritual Direction. The program office is located on site and there are times for personal conversation by arrangement. There are also occasional on-site and off-site programs ranging from single session to multi-session events. Prairie Jubilee is also affiliated with The University of Winnipeg Faculty of Theology.
