The Fort Rouge Child Care, housed in our building, began as an after school program of our congregation. Now their own organization, the Fort Rouge Child Care serves up to 54 children, ages 2 to 12. We do maintain a supportive relationship with the day care through volunteers who read to the children and spend time in one on one conversation with the children. For more info, call the day care directly at (204) 284-5474 or check FRCC’s website.
Living Well 55+ — We offer a series of interesting speakers as requested by neighbourhood older adults. The sessions are open to the public who we love to have attend! Speakers are followed by refreshments and networking. Check our Events section for upcoming schedules. There is no cost to attend but we may ask you to give us a head’s up on your interest so we can ensure adequate supplies and refreshments.
A choir of diverse ages, the Alleluia Singers love gospel music. Meeting on Monday evenings, they work towards two concerts per year, and often lead worship in nearby Seniors’ homes. For more info, contact us here.

The Village Green Morris Men claim to be the oldest Cotswold side in Western Canada. They were founded in 1974 at the same time as the Village Green English Country Dancers by the late John Trevenen and the late David Williams. John was a student at Pinewoods in the early 1970’s, and later taught there. The Village Green Morris Men are still going strong, surviving personnel changes and various kits. Their present kit is white peasant shirts, black knee breeches, white socks, green and yellow baldricks with rosettes, and straw hats with green ribbons. And, of course, bells.
Robin Dow School of Dance uses our building to offer tap classes once a week.

We are proud to be home to two of Winnipeg’s fine choirs, The Winnipeg Boys’ Choir and ECCO. Outstanding choral groups are frequent renters of the acoustical gem that is our sanctuary/performance space, including Camerata Nova, Rainbow Harmony Project and the Winnipeg Singers. Peg City FaSoLa (Shape Note or Sacred Harp) Singers meet here once a month. Check them out on Facebook. And creative friends Theatre Projects Manitoba often book us for rehearsal space. As well there are the beyond-category concerts such as Zabathon, Joko Tea, Urban Vacation, The Viewing Party, The Inflatable Band, The Physics and Mashed Topatos to name a few.
Wind Chamber Recitals
Wind Chamber Recitals
We are fortunate to host in our building a series of Wind Chamber recitals featuring varied chamber ensembles, from woodwind quintet, to flute choir, to organ trios. Charmaine Bacon and our Music Director, Michael Cutler are the driving force and directors of this concert series. The repertoire is a mixture of original works by composers from baroque to modern day, including compositions by Michael Cutler. Arrangements of favourite repertoire are tailored by Cutler to the featured ensemble. We look forward to the upcoming season.
